Final Panel Announced

For the May 15th New Media Collaborative (NMC) presented by New Media Lab has finalized the panel of some of Austin’s most successful social medians to discuss with you mistakes and missteps they’ve made, avoided, and overcome in social media to help you hurdle the learning curve.

This social media panel is different in that it’s an open format and none of the panelists are selling you products, they’re excited to help you learn what you may not know about social media as you begin to adopt it in your day to day business and organizational operations.

“Everything I Wish I Had Known About Social Media” Panelists:

Sherry Lowry- acclaimed business mentor

Clint Howell- newswire and new media specialist

Kim Haynes- regarded human resources professional

Sheila Scarborough- social media trainer and freelance writer

Heather Strout- well versed community consultant

The panel will be led by Lani Rosales and Connie Reece who will include the audience in the Q&A format of the panel so audience members can get their questions answered. It’s sure to be a unique learning experience- how often do people talk about the *mistakes* they’ve made instead of the wonderful accomplishments they have under their belt?

Don’t Miss Out

There are still tickets available for the New Media Collaborative and we’d like to offer you $50 off of the ticket price, just use discount code “bizmedia” to spend the day learning social media.

If your company or even a group of friends would like to attend, bulk discounts are available, simply let us know the number of tickets you’d like to buy and we’ll provide a special discount code for you.

Don’t miss this day of learning, we’re excited about the panel of experts and look forward to meeting YOU on May 15th!

The Big Lab is Here

We are excited to announce that beginning next week, we will be accepting sign-ups for our May New Media Collaborative (NMC). The NMC Experience is a curriculum based lab designed especially for the professional new to social media. It’s a full day of interactive learning where professionals bring their laptops and open minds, and we bring the rest.

Today’s economy is leading companies of all sizes to cut back marketing budgets, so we’ve developed courses that help professionals learn about and implement their own social media strategy with high impact and low cost. Our mission is to educate companies on how to effectively expand their reach through social media and online marketing- the branded voice in motion.

May’s NMC will be held at the Marriott Round Rock in a classroom lab setting (and of course, Starbucks coffee will be served all day), complete with a working lunch and networking. Professionals from all backgrounds are encouraged to attend- we’ve had a great deal of interest from the public relations, real estate, non-profit, association executives and retail industries so far and expect that as word travels to see an even more diverse attendee pool! Unfortunately, seats will be limited, so we’ve tailored an attendee profile…

Those that should attend may:

be new to social media.

have no idea why they need social media.

be scratching their head wondering how to engage.

need help in influencing their company decision makers to adopt social media.

be spinning their wheels trying to gain traction with social media.

be looking to take their online presence from 1.0 to 2.0 and need help.

need to upgrade online technologies and or build communities.

Our focus is on creating the ultimate 1.0 to 2.0 experience in tangible demonstrations on how our mediaverse is changing, and how businesses of all sizes from independent to large are adapting- minus the learning curve.

We’ll make further announcements in the coming days, so stay tuned!

Things to do (in the meantime)
